Title: Switched-Mode Systems: Problems Motivated by Power Converters, Part I (½ hour)
Abstract: DC-DC voltage regulators are ubiquitous; they're in laptops, cell phones, etc. For efficiency they have switches with controllable duty cycles. Consequently, as systems they are quite interesting: Nonlinear and periodically time varying. This talk will outline some associated system-theoretic issues.
