Instruction: how to download the student version of S-PLUS

To install a free student version of S-PLUS on your home computer, go to the web site http://elms03.e-academy.com/splus/.

Follow the next steps:

Step 1. Register. Within a short time, you will receive an e-mail with your username and password

Step 2. Log in using your username and password

Step 3. Click on the "Software" tab.

Step 4. Click "S-PLUS 7.0 for windows Student Edition-Download".

Step 5. Click on the "Get it!" tab.

Step 6.Accept the terms and conditions. You will receive your serial number. You may choose to copy it at this moment in a file. Later it will reappear in an e-mail you will get after downloading S-PLUS. When installing S-PLUS, you will be prompted to enter your serial number.

Instruction: how to download R (free software)

To install R on your home computer, go to the web site http://probability.ca/cran/.

Follow the next steps:

Step 1. Click "Windows (95 and later)".

Step 2. Click "base".

Step 3. Click "R-2.2.1-win32.exe".
